Interstate 229 (Missouri)

Interstate 229 (abbreviated I-229) in the state of Missouri is an approximately 14-mile (22.5 km) interstate highway in and near Saint Joseph that connects with Interstate 29 at both its northern terminus and at its southern terminus. Unlike some interstate spur routes, which bypass urbanized areas, Interstate 229 provides the most direct access to downtown Saint Joseph. Interstate 229 in Missouri runs very close to the Missouri River and the Kansas state border.
