International Computer Science Institute

The International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) is a non-profit research lab located in Berkeley, California, USA, and is affiliated with UC Berkeley. ICSI has particular strengths networking research, algorithms, and speech processing.
The director of the Institute is Professor Nelson Morgan, SIGCOMM Award winner Scott Shenker heads the Networking Research Group, and Turing award winner Richard Karp heads the Algorithms group. Other notable ICSI scientists include Vern Paxson who previously chaired the Internet Research Task Force and IEEE Internet Award winner Sally Floyd.
The XORP open source router software project was started at ICSI by Mark Handley and is now run by Atanu Ghosh.
