International Black Sea University

The International Black Sea University (IBSU) is an university established on 1995 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Its mission statement mentions the goal of improvement of current educational cooperation between the Georgia and the Republic of Turkey. It accepts prospective students from Turkey according to the Turkish Öğrenci Seçme Sınavı(ÖSS) held by the Öğrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM). This somewhat bureaucratic central student's achievement test is a mandatory precondition to university level education in in Turkey which determines not only the university but also the subjects a student may choose to study.

It has 5 faculties and 6 departments and a scientific library.

The founders of the university are, besides the Ministry of Education of Georgia and the Governorship of Dusheti, the Turkish firms Mars and Çağlar.
