Interlink

Interlink is a commercial product comprising hardware and software for file transfer between IBM and VAX computers. It was developed in 1983 by Interlink Computer Sciences.

Recently, the company filed a patent lawsuit against Nintendo of America, claiming that the Wii Remote violated their patents for a device that had point and click functionality. It should be noted that the design of device also shares a striking resemblance to a Wii Remote (mostly regarding the button placement). However, it seems to be lacking the most unique features of Nintendo's device: motion sensing, vibration, built-in speaker, versatility via the use of plug-ins. Many believe this to be a stunt to get money due to the popularity of the Wii. There are bid differences in the Wii-mote and the 'mouse.' The trigger operated thing resembles the Nintendo 64 and the only thing that is close is the pointer. With according to sources have different technology.

According to Interlink's site, their ClickTrigger patented technology revolves around the trigger button to be used as a left-click on the mouse. The trigger on the Wii Remote is not used for clicking on the screen (i.e. Wii Menu) as that is assigned currently to the A button,
