Intercontinental Cup (baseball)

The Intercontinental Cup is an international baseball competition sponsored by the International Baseball Federation. It was first held in 1973 in Italy and was held biannually until 1999. The 2001 competition was delayed until 2002 and the sixteenth edition of the tournament would have to wait another four years to be held. The 2006 version of the tournament was held in Taichung, Taiwan November 9-19.
