Intelsat Americas, is the redesignation given to the several Telstar satellites serving North America following their sale to Intelsat by Loral Space & Communications in 2001.

This new designation is applied to the Telstar satellites serving the United States:

Telstar 5 (now Intelsat Americas 5)
Telstar 6 (now Intelsat Americas 6)
Telstar 7 (now Intelsat Americas 7)
Telstar 8 (now Intelsat Americas 8)
Telstar 13 (operated with EchoStar Communications' EchoStar 9) (now Intelsat Americas 13)

The Telstar satellites that do not directly serve the United States retain their original Telstar designation.
