Instrumental transcommunication

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Instrumental transcommunication (ITC) is a paranormal theory in which it is believed that one may communicate with spirits or ghosts via a monitor, such as a PC/computer monitor or a television set. The process of instrumental transcommunication involves hooking a video camera up to the monitor and then recording what is seen on screen. The footage is then somehow reversed and watched. Many people have said they have seen faces in the video footage once it has been reversed. The alleged faces are usually said to be blurred and indistinguishable, but sometimes it is claimed that they can be seen clearly.

This phenomenon is a close cousin to electronic voice phenomenon, in which disembodied voices have allegedly been captured on audio equipment, such as a tape recorder or anything that transmits and/or receives sound.
