Description |
Precession of the equinoxes as seen from inside the celestial dome. The shift of the Earth's polar axis over 5000 year among the stars (orange: 3000 BC at Thuban, yellow: 2000 AD at Polaris) goes together with a shift of the equatorial planes and therefore the equinoxes along the ecliptic.
