I'd like to introduce discussion regarding Ino's flirtations and potential attractions with Choji and Shikamaru. I believe there are several scenes in the anime to suggest this. I'd like to initiate such changes here, before expanding them to the other males' pages (I'd have to mention Temari for Shika anyway too). This will require some review, but these pairings are obviously present in fanfics and may have some support. For example, Shika's talking with her about how it's okay for women to be a little chubby, how she's mean to Choji about his weight, and how she later gains a stronger appreciation for him. In addition, her obvious shared Sasukebsession shared with Sakura. Even Neji should be taken into account. While her flirtation was obviously an ill-fated bargaining tool, one might wonder if she does indeed have a crush. Neji, like Sasuke, was the #1 Rookie of his year, is also part of a major clan, and is also quite handsome, so such an attraction might not be unwarranted. Tyciol 09:01, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Usually, potential lovers aren't mentioned in Wikipedia. Only concrete canonical information is presented and a few tidbits about what may happen in non-canon episodes is added. All the additions I've seen on lovers or suggestive scenes that aren't discussed in the manga are usually deleted. The only exception I've seen is one line on the possible relationship between Shikamaru and Temari. VegitaU 23:50, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Well, if someone tries to delete it, I suppose that can be dealt with. That's the reason I'm proposing it here beforehand. :) Rather than relationships, simply discussing who a character likes, and who likes them, might be better. In the case of both, that would be mutual like, and could lead to one. Choji does exlaim when Ino brings him the fruit basket before the 3rd exam that 'Big-boned guys must be in!' and Ino later laments her criticisms and perhaps word of Choji's slaying of one of the Sound-4 could impress her. Obviously, such additions would require conservative wording without undue implications, as I realize it is pretty vague! Tyciol 05:53, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

the manga doesn't give ino much character development anyway so jsut leave it

Please don't act that way. There is still plenty of time for Ino to receive some more character development, she just doesn't have an important part in the story right now. As for the speculative romance, it's usually not mentioned on Wikipedia. You're supposed to stick with the straight facts and leave fan speculation and opinions for somewhere else.

I think Ino is not someone who actually serius in crush. May be has a crush wih Sasuke but compare to Sakura, I think she went easy on her. On top of that Ino seems like someone who always hold her feelings (showed by her actions towards Sakura). She is also someone that seems troublesome but I think she is the only character in the Naruto series who can voice out the words tha reach the heart (shown when she talked with the word of courage during her childhood with Sakura).

I'd rather say her crush on Sasuke wasn't really a crush either. She was only attracted to him (may be). She had a very fragile heart towards her teammates and I think she might feel the same towards Sakura. I'd like to see how much it will effect the plot of Naruto II if Ino met Sasuke somehow. I was wondering if she had grown up more mature during the arc...

I'll hope that Ino ends up with Shikamaru at the end. Ino didn't have a crush on Sasuke (i think..) because it was more that he was popular and all that stuff. I think that Shikamaru would be great for Ino. (; Temari doesn't need a boyfriend. I dont really like her, because of all the chat about TemaxShika ^-* Go for it, Ino!

Yamanaka Ino → Ino Yamanaka – As pointed out in Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Anime_and_manga#Naruto_character_article_titles, the current names for articles about Naruto characters are inconsistent with the names used for other anime characters (Naruto characters use Japanese order for names, while most other anime characters have their name in Western order), as well not following the naming guidelines in WP:MOS-JA.

[edit] Current/Previous Teams

Someone has added "Niju Shotai (Choji Akimichi, Ino Yamanaka, Aoba Yamashiro and Raido Namiashi" to the current team thing in the infobox when we already have a current team. S/He has also added it to the Shikamaru, Choji, and Asuma pages. They can't have multiple current teams and since the Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, etc. articles put their Part II teams in Current Team and their Part I teams in Previous Team, shouldn't we do the same here?

P.S. - What does Niju Shotai mean? Sasuke-kun27 21:55, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

First: Niju Shotai. Second, I don't see a problem with both Team Asuma and Niju Shotai being listed as current teams, as Asuma and Shikamaru have had that distinction on their articles for a month or two now. Also, why can't they have two teams? Is it impossible to be a member of two different organizations at the same time? Can a high schooler not be part of the school band and the track team simultaneously? ~SnapperTo 23:14, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

It seems overly likely though that they were all together as members of the Niju Shotai. For one, there were four of them, which I would imagine is how many of the 80 members are put into each of the 20 teams. Second, as you said, they were backup; who else but the Niju Shotai would be roaming the Land of Fire at this point in time? And finally, who else but another group of Niju Shotai would they request as reinforcements (as seen in chapter 324)? I realize that this is all just speculation, but it just seems fairly obvious to me. ~SnapperTo 23:37, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Well maybe, but it's just as likely they had to send leftover ninja because they were too divided by that point. In either case, I would assume it's just a temporary affiliation, and the infobox is pretty crowded as is. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 23:46, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

It is isn't it? I should bring up the topic of spring-cleaning some time. In any event, I'll let the Niju Shotai thing go. If ever they are stated to be members, and if the infobox has enough room to warrant the membership (assuming it's decided to be added), then I'll reiterate that I see no problem with having two current teams. ~SnapperTo 23:57, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

About the two teams thing, I meant the three man cells. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. Also, if Ino is part of the Niju Shotai, shouldn't she be listed on the article? Oh, one more thing, my Part I teams in the previous team section and the Part II teams in the current teams section question (see top of discussion) was left unanswered (just pointing it out). Can someone tell me when Ino used medical jutsu because I don't remember her using any. I remember Shikamaru or someone telling her to do it, but Asuma was dyeing and he told her it doesn't matter so she didn't. If she never used it, than maybe people should get rid of the mystical palm on her jutsu list. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.218.140.250 (talk)

You're correct in saying that Asuma told her it would make no difference, though only a couple panels afterwards (next page maybe?) she tries anyway and confirms that her medical abilities can't save him. ~SnapperTo 00:27, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
