Philowikia biou kybernētēs is a group of high school Wikipedians who have formed a Wikipedia club at their school. Their name is taken from the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and means 'love of the wiki, steerer of life.' In practice, the club is usually referred to as 'the club', or by its abbreviated form FBK.

Ingoolemo is recognised as the club's Godfather, an experienced user ready to help less experienced members of the club, and keep the others in line—this last will hopefully will never be necessary.

[edit] Article I: Name

Φιλουικια Βιου Κυβερνητης is Greek for "love of the wiki, steerer of life." Its abbreviated forms include FBK and ΦΒΚ (Phi Betta Kappa).

[edit] Article II: Purpose

The purpose of this club is to promote involvement in the creation of data and media in the public domain. It does this by providing a space where editors of Wikipedia can network, coordinate, and as recruit.

[edit] Article III: Membership

[edit] Section 1: Requirements for initial entry

An interest in Wikipedia is sufficent for entry. (Free time and a computer are helpful but not neccesary.)

[edit] Section 2: Requirements to continued membership

Make a minimum of 50 edits in the Main (article) namespace during every calendar month.
Show up to meetings whenever possible
Refrain from vandalism.

[edit] Article IV: Lettering

Lettering is based on a system of varsity points:

¹/₁₂₅ points are awared for every edit in the Main (article) namespace.
2 points are awarded for promoting an existing article to Featured Article status.
4 points are awarded for promoting a stub or an article of one's own creation to Featured status.
6 points are awarded for being elected an Administrator.
−1 point is awarded for failing to rectify an edit deficit within one week (seven days).

6 points are required to letter. All points must be earned while the club is in session.

Any members with −2 varsity points will be expelled for two weeks, after which they may be readmitted with the support of ²/₃ of the absolute number of members.

[edit] Article V: Vandalism

1st vandalism: Your account is banned from editing for 48 hours. The President gives you a long, stern lecture.
2nd vandalism: Expulsion from the club. Members may be reinstated after a two-week waiting period if approved by ²/₃ of the absolute number of members.
3rd vandalism: Permanent expulsion. No exceptions.

Wikiing being an inherently decentralised activity, the organisation will not likely be very complicated at any point.

The club is in session between the second Tuesday of the school year and the last Wedenesday during which seniors attend.

Constitutional amendments may be made after they have been proposed in writing and ratified by a majority of the absolute membership.

Meeting times will be determined at the beginning of each year, following the first meeting. They will be held in the library when possible.

To supplement meetings, information will also be in a mailing list sent out by the president. Alumni will not be removed from the mailing list unless they specifically request it.

Having the opportunity, alumni will stay in contact. Those who wish to may join the Guardian Council, which is chaired by the FBK's Godfather, Ingoolemo.
