[edit] Tweak Interstates
Is there a way to tell the template that when highway type is Interstate, that the output should be Interstate 45 instead of Interstate 45 (Texas)? This causes redlinks (or unneeded redirects) in the infobox (click the I-45 link to see an example). I see that there's an #if statement in the template language, but I don't have the experience to make the fix (nor the time to learn the language, at the moment). --Robertb-dc 21:37, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- Actually it was designed specifically that way. It directs all of the Interstate to Interstate X (Texas). I-45 is just a bad example since it never goes out of the state, but it links to the redirect. For those that are redlinked, the article has just not been created yet. Feel free to fix the redlinks by creating a redirect to the main article until the Texas article can be created. For example, redirect Interstate 44 (Texas) to Interstate 44. When the TX article is created it, the redirect will be changed to point to Interstate 44 in Texas. I hope this answers your question. --Holderca1 23:07, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Update
I updated the infobox tonight to read directly from {{Infobox road}}. There should be no changes in appearance (since Infobox road was designed in the same style), and the usage is the exact same (as Infobox TX State Highway, as well as its parameters, can still be used). If anyone notices any issues, please post here or let me know on my talk page. Thanks. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 23:01, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
