[edit] Map
First off i just like to say i love this new template that you have whipped up, along with the new one for the counties and and muni nav boxes for the counties as well. My only concern comes with the map. Not so say to get rid of it but to possibly re-think it. First thing is with the Tartu map (and similar maps), while its a good map, with in the template and at the size that it is creates some problems, the extra information on the map at the size, things such as roads, rail and such, can lead to be a bit distracting to the eye and to the map it's self. Also the size of the dot for tartu and how it is rendered, white dot with red outline, does not stand out so well at the size that it is at, and the text has been such reduced it can make it a bit difficult so see what is is saying. While this map is good a good map, it would be better served as a stand alone in the article, where it can be rendered at a larger size, to so such things as major transportation links into Tartu. Some of the same things can be said for the Tallinn like maps as well. My proposal for the map would be along the lines similar to what the use on the Template:Ireland city infobox and Template:Ie citytown infobox, a pin cord system, some example of this and the maps that they use would are on the Newry and Dundalk, with something similar to the Dundalk map being used. Base maps are already in use for the articles on the county now. Well just my thoughts, hit it around see what you think, any question's just ask. --Boothy443 | comhrÚ 05:58, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
- I agree that those maps need replacements. I'm suggesting maps showing towns in their municipal borders within counties. There's an example in Maardu article. What do you think? And thank you for those irish links - that pin cord system looks interesting (didn't know about it before), maybe we could use it for towns that included in parishes (and have no municipal borders). --Senzeichi 22:00, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
