This article is related to the WikiProject Australian law, an attempt to improve, organise and standardise Wikipedia's articles in the area of Australian law. This infobox takes a number of parameters:

short_title
the short title of the legislation, displayed at the top of the infobox. Should preferably be the same as the article title.
parliament
the name of the parliament which made the legislation. This will be linked.
image
an image to represent the parliament (for example, for the Parliament of Australia, something like Image:Australia coa.png would be good).
long_title
the long title of the legislation.
introduced_by
who first introduced the legislation into parliament. This could be a link to an individual politician, or a political party if you do not know the individual. One could also mention whether it was a government-supported bill or a private member's bill.
date_passed
the date the legislation was approved by the parliament which made it.
royal_assent
the date the legislation recieved Royal Assent (only applicable in Commonwealth countries, other users may wish to copy and modify the template).
commencement
the date at which the legislation became effective.
amendments
internal links to amending or repealing legislation, or even a list of years in which the legislation has been modified.
related_legislation
self-explanatory.
status
this can be one of three values, "Current" (for legislation still in force), "Amended" (for legislation which has been substantially modified by separate legislation), or "Repealed" (for legislation which has been repealed, or is no longer in force).
