Infante Alfonso of Spain (Alfonso Cristino Teresa Angelo Francisco de Asis y Todos los Santos) (Rome, 3 October 1941–Estoril, 29 March 1956) was the youngest son of H.R.H. Don Juan de Borbón, Count of Barcelona and H.R.H. Doña Maria Mercedes de Borbón Dos-Sicilias y Orleans, and younger brother of current reigning King Juan Carlos of Spain, of Infanta Pilar of Spain and of Infanta Margarita of Spain.
Born in exile, he accompanied his brother when he went to study in Spain in 1948.
In 1956, while on summer vacation in Estoril, Portugal, Don Alfonso died in a shooting accident which also involved his brother Juan Carlos. He was buried in Portugal until the monarchy was restored in Spain, when he was buried in the Royal Crypt of the monastery of San Lorenzo del Escorial, near Madrid.
