[edit] Hostels
Any enthu for adding detailed information about hostels, departments etc?
- I've listed the hostels and added some info about hostels in general. I've heard there are some new ones coming up, though... Any idea what they're going to be named? --Ajitq 07:27, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- There is one new hostel coming up and a new mega mess. They are still under construction. Even the new IIT Map doesn't give them any name. Just "New Boys Hostel".--Arunkumar 16:48, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Yes, crocodiles
Who says there are no crocodiles in IIT? I have a photograph with me somewhere of a sign near the lake (close to TTN's house) saying "Beware of Crocodiles". I also have it on good authority that there have been at least 3 instances when crocs have come from the neighbouring GNP into the lake, and have caused havoc.
- I'll agree that there is a board inside IITM that says "Beware of Crocodiles". That in itself does not prove anything more than a sign saying "Beware of Dragons" proves the existence of dragons. Do we have anything more substantial than hearsay that there really are crocodiles in the IITM lake? All other animals cited are spotted on a regular basis - monkeys, deer, dogs, birds and snakes. Please cite your sources if possible. -- Brhaspati (talkcontribs) 22:47, 2005 Apr 4 (UTC)

[edit] Undergraduate Academics
Why do NSS/NSO/NCC figure under this topic? I feel it shouldnt be there. Ganesh, 2:00, 21st Oct 2006 (IST)
[edit] Internet Access
internet (web) access is through web proxies, so primarily only web access is available. there IS a difference between blocking something and not having something available. if one were doing nat and not allowing irc or something else, that is blocking. if one is providing http access through a web proxy that does not say anything about non http services. besides, this is not the forum for arguing this.
