Gopuram of Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam

The Sri Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangam was constructed across three centuries from the 14th to 17th centuries. The gopuram or the gateway is 236 feet (72 m) tall. The temple is constituted by seven concentric enclosures (walls) or prakaras with gopurams articulating the axial path. The highest gopuram at the outermost prakara and the lowest at the innermost.
