Indiana's 1st congressional district

The First Congressional District of Indiana, USA, was drawn in its current configuration after the 2000 census.
The first district is the most consistently Democratic in Indiana. Democrats have held the district since 1931.

It consists of the counties of Benton, Jasper, Lake, Newton and parts of Porter. The district is in the northwest part of the state of Indiana.

The current representative of the district is Pete Visclosky.
