A new school building is scheduled to be constructed by the fall of 2009. It is to be placed on the hill overlooking the current school's track complex. The original school will replace the current Indian Valley Middle School. However, environmental concerns are present, as the construction of the school will require the removal of many trees. But this new school still does not include a swimming pool due to budget reasons since it would cost Mifflin County School District $3 million dollars
