Indian American Public Education Advisory Council

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Indian American Public Education Advisory Council (IPAC) is an Indian-American advocacy group which opposes Hindu efforts to change textbooks used in public schools, in California and elsewhere. The Council claims that the proposed changes are of a sectarian religious nature.

The organization was a participant in the Californian Hindu textbook controversy, where they opposed proposals made by Hindu groups to change textbooks to reflect their view of Indian history and culture. IPAC's location and membership details are not disclosed on its website.
