India's emergence as BPO giant

India has emerged as popular destination in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) endeavour. The Indian government has undertaken key initiatives and places like Mumbai, Banglore,Hyderabad, Calcutta, New Delhi, Chennai, and Pune have emerged as top destinations. Other places like Chandigarh (city beautiful), Indore and numerous others are catching up.The primary reason for India to be the hub for outsourcing lies in several aspects such as educated , english-speaking and cheap labor. Stress on education has created a lot many professionals during last 10 years has also helped in improving the educated population.The whoel thing has been aptly summarized in Thomas Freidman's "The world is Flat"
