Club Independiente Santa Fe is a Colombian football (soccer) team. The team was founded on February 28, 1941. In March 23, 1941 Independiente Santa Fe initiated its activities as a club. Originally, it was born in the campus of Gimnasio Moderno, one of the most important schools in Bogotá. Independiente Santa Fe won its first championship in 1948, and it became the First Colombian champion. After this, Independiente Santa Fe obtained the 1958, 1960, 1966, 1971 and 1975 championships.

The stadium Nemesio Camacho "El Campín" is the place where Independiente Santa Fe plays its home games. The stadium is located in Bogotá.

In 2005, the main fan association, LGARS (La Guardia Albirroja Sur), with the help of Samsung, Independiente Santa Fe's main sponsor, and the club's administration, put together the largest soccer flag in the world. The flag, named the 'Lienzo de Fe' (Linen Cloth of Faith), is 350 meters long and 38 high, covering the southern end of 'El Campín', where the team's fans locate in home games. The flag is shown on every home game.

Independiente Santa Fe has participated in several international championships like Copa Libertadores, Copa Merconorte, and Copa Conmebol. In 2005, the team gets the first option to play the "repechaje" to Copa Libertadores in 2006, after the next team, Tolima, was eliminated for the final stage of the 2005 Clausura tournament. Santafe qualified among the 8 teams that will compete for the Clausura after defeating Cartagena 1 - 0 in Bogota.
