The Independent Wrestling Federation (IWF) is a wrestling promotion based in the North East of England and has featured stars from around the world. The IWF was started by Peter Wilson in 2000. Originally the IWF trained out of a Kickboxing school in Blyth, but in September 2001 moved its training venue to the Gateshead Area. In 2006 the IWF moved to Headworth Field C.A in Fellgate, Jarrow where training takes place on sundays from 12 until 6 at a cost of £10 a week. The IWF hold regular shows out of this venue.
The IWF also run shows on a regular basis throughout the North East.
