Independent School League (Illinois)

The Independent School League (ISL) in Illinois comprises 9 schools in Chicagoland. The main component of an ISL school is academic rigor. Most classes are small, allowing for individual attention. The Independent Schools also offer a wide variety of courses and extracurricular programs. Several of these schools are also members of the Illinois High School Association.

The following nine schools are part of the ISL:

• The Latin School of Chicago
• Morgan Park Academy
• North Shore Country Day School
• University of Chicago Laboratory Schools
• Willows Academy
• Woodlands
