Inaja Palm (American oil palm, Cucurite palm, Kokerit-palm in Guyana, Maripa palm; syn. Attalea venatorum (Poepp. ex Mart.) Mart., Attalea venatorum (Poeppig ex C.Martius) C. Martius, Cocos venatorum Poeppig ex C.Martius, Englerophoenix caribaea Kuntze, Englerophoenix regia Kuntze, Englerophoenix regia (Mart.) Kuntze, Ethnora maripa (Mart.) O. F. Cook, Maximiliana maripa (Aubl.) Drude, Maximiliana maripa (CorrĂȘa) Drude, Maximiliana martiana H.Karst., Maximiliana regia Mart., Maximilliana stenocarpa Burret, Maximilliana venatorum (Poepp. ex Mart.) H. A. Wendland ex Kerch, Palma maripa Aubl.) is a palm native to Amazon Rainforest. This plant has a yellow edible fruit which is oblong ovoid and cream. It grows up 30 m high and can have leaves or fronds 10-12 m long and has a large inflorescense which is interfoliar.
