I've removed the note about the Enigma machine not having been captured at the time. In fact, the Allies had already had considerable success by this point at decrypting encrypted German messages. The machine recovered from U110 was a naval Enigma machine, considerably harder to crack than the machines used by other departments at the time, and thus not relevant to the argument at hand.
