In With the Out Crowd is an album by ska-punk band Less Than Jake, released on May 23, 2006. Sixteen songs were recorded during the studio session; however, the album only has twelve songs. The album art is a photo collage of pictures sent in by fans and a few of the band themselves. The first single to be taken from the album is a double A-side, "Overrated (Everything Is)"/"A Still Life Franchise", and was released in the UK on May 8, 2006. The first single to be released in the US was also a double A-side, "The Rest of My Life/Don't Fall Asleep on the Subway", released on August 31, 2006. The album has been noted as featuring far less involvement from the horn section than past albums.

The next single will be P.S. Shock the World.

[edit] Tracks that did not make the album

  2. "We, the Uninspired"
  3. "Only Human"
  4. (currently unnamed)

The first two songs, "Negative Sides of Optimistic Eyes" and "We, the Uninspired", can be found on Absolution for Idiots and Addicts, along with "Overrated (Everything Is)" and "The Rest of My Life". "Only Human" was released as a B-side to the "Overrated (Everything Is) /A Still Life Franchise" split single, as its own single on the iTunes Music Store, and as a bonus track on IWTOC's Japanese version. The fourth song is currently unnamed. Vinnie Fiorello's blog indicates that there were at least three other songs recorded as demos.

Known demos are:

  1. "A Song for Everyone That Survived the Season"
  2. "Misfits and Malcontents"
  3. "Even Trophy Boys and Girls Sing the Blues"

"Even Trophy Boys and Girls Sing The Blues" appears as a bonus track on IWTOC if you bought the CD through iTunes. "Misfits and Malcontents" appears on "The Rest Of My Life/Don't Fall Asleep On The Subway" split single, and "A Song For Everyone That Survived The Season" has yet to be released.

As LTJ will be putting out a third single, one (or both) of the two unreleased songs may be released soon.
