In the Flesh (song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"In the Flesh" is track number 3 from Blondie's self titled debut album. It was used as a B-side to "Rip Her to Shreds" along with "X-Offender".
In Australia, the song was played by mistake on the nationally broadcast music program Countdown, and was well received by the viewing audience. Chrysalis Records released the song as a single in Australia only, with "X-Offender" as the B-side, and it quickly reached number 4 on the Australian singles chart. Australia therefore became the first territory in which the group achieved a hit single, and the album sold well. Blondie did not achieve a world-wide hit until almost a year later, when the single "Denis" reached number 2 on the British singles chart.
