They started as a Universal Instant messaging (IM) platform that let users be connected to MSN, AOL/AIM/ICQ and Yahoo Messenger at the same time. They are now more focused on Free online TV and the Entertainment Social Networking community. Imvite is a place where people watch TV, video clips and chat about it. The website's tagline is "Entertain Yourself".
They offer thousands of live and taped streaming TV channels, radio stations, and VOD (Video on Demand) full movies. Their technology embeds a media player on your browser so you can watch and listen to any station for free and right in your browser. Their entire site is free.
They have also aggregated and incorporated many popular video websites to their search engine portal. From the Imvite website you can search for and watch many hundreds of thousands of videos from video websites such Myspace, Youtube, Vimeo, Metacafe, and others.
