Impressions (composition)

"Impressions" is a Jazz standard composed by John Coltrane, appearing on the 1963 album of the same name.

Its chord sequence is identical to that of Miles Davis' So What - 16 bars of Dm7, 8 of Ebm7 and 8 of Dm7. However it is also possible to perform it within a G Mixolydian context, without transposing the melody.
