An excerpt of the famous Imperial March melody by John Williams. The melody and its accompanying rhythms, harmonies, counterpoints, etc. are copyrighted, but I believe that a short single-line melody excerpt such as this qualifies as fair use.
I entered these notes in the Finale 2004 notation software, printed as PDF, then spruced it up in Photoshop and saved it as PNG.
Lastly, my choice of D major (rather than C, or even B-flat or E-flat) is purely arbitrary.
