Imaginism

Imaginism, in 20th Century poetry, is a poetic flow inside Russian avantgarde which came about after the Revolution. It was founded by Sergei Yesenin in 1919. To imaginists, poem's form was more important than theme and poet's image was basis of expression.
It is sometimes called imagism, but is unrelated to that Anglo-American poetic movement.
