This photo is scanned and cropped from a larger glossy photo of the pianist Ivan Moravec receiving the Czech Republic's highest award from President Vaclav Havel - a public record of the ceremony. The Moravec family gave me a copy of the photo to post on his web site, which I maintain. They did not say who took the photo, but it was clearly given to them for his personal or promotional use, and so believe that it is fair use to include in a Wikipedia about Ivan Moravec.

The image linked here is claimed to be used under fair use as:

it is a historically significant photo of a famous individual;
it is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality)
the photo is only being used for informational purposes.
Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it shows the subject of this article at a public ceremony in his honor.
Copyright owner is unknown, but the gave me permission to post it on line. Denisbradford 03:09, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
