I've also seen his name as Ilja Kovalchuk in some cases. Any insights on this? --67.34.5.167 02:55, 22 July 2005 (UTC)

Simply a difference in transliteration from Cyrillic to Latin. According to European standards, it's "Ilja", but either works. Doogie2K 18:13, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
