The Family Ilariidae consists of 3 species of animal found in the middle tertiary assemblage of South Australia. Closely related to Koobor which was found in Hamilton Victoria. Only the jaw of either species is know and they are chategorised because there teeth structure is unique among Diprotodontia in having a complicated pattern. Iliariids were the largest marsupial of there time in the Lake Eyre and Tarkarooloo basin and lived along with Wynyardiids , Obdurodon, Thylacoleonids and Marsupial Lions like Priscaleo and Wakaleo.
