Ila is the wife of Commander Adama in Battlestar Galactica, who was played by Sophia Loren.

Ila was killed, when the Cylons raided Caprica during the Peace Conference ambush. She is the mother to Captain Apollo, Lieutenant Zac and Lieutenant Athena.

Ila has two analogues on the reimagined Battlestar Galactica, Caroline Adama, mother to William Adama's children, and Anne Adama, current wife of William at the time of the Cylon attack.
