Ijevan (Armenian: Իջևան) - city (village until 1961) in Armenia, is the capital of Tavush region. It is located in the northern part of the region, on the foot of the Ijevan ridge and Nal'teket ridge on both banks of Agstev River. It is the most populated city in the area. It is 142 km from Yerevan.
Yerevan – Kazakh highway passes through the city.
Located in Ijevan, are woodworking and wine-making enterprises, machinery plants, and large concrete and carpet-weaving factories.
