- This article is about the file type. IFO is also an abbreviation for an identified flying object (as opposed to UFO), as well IATA airport code for International Airport "Ivano-Frankivsk" in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.
IFO is a DVD InFOrmation file that stores information about Chapters, Subtitles and Audio Tracks.
Other DVD files include VOB and BUP files.
