Idmon

In Greek mythology, Idmon was a seer who knew he would die if he joined the Argonauts. He is a son of Apollo and Asteria (or Cyrene). He did so anyway and died of snakebite in Bithynia.
When in 559 BC the citizens of Megara founded city Heraclea (cur. Eregli) they built a temple over the spot he was buried.
