The Puma is based on the hull of the Sho't, which in itself is a modified British Centurion tank. It is armed with several 7.62 mm FN MAG machine guns, including one controlled from within the cabin (Overhead Weapon Station - OWS), developed by the Israeli Armament Development Authority (RAFAEL).
