[edit] All About Ida Lee

Ida Lee was a frumpy housewife, who was in a very loveless marriage to one Lavern Nagger (Gordie Tapp). They had a son named Junior (Kenny Price); and was sometimes visited by her mother, (also played by Stoneman). She was usually ironing, and was often angry about something and that something was usually her drunken and lazy husband, whom he addressed dismissively as "Woman".

She would often bemoan and lament about all the promises he made to her, and he never made good on those promises. Whenever he made a smart remark about her, which was often, she would usually smack him with a rolling pin, or a frying pan, or even threatening him with her iron.

Outside of the Naggers sketches, she would often be flirting with a lot of men; and especially in the latter years of the show, sometimes, she would be the lead off singer of "Pfft, You were gone!" In the Hee Haw Honky Tonk, she would often chase men with the aid of an oversized net.

The sketches were somewhat based on the old radio sketches The Bickersons because they had the feel of them. However, the sketches were original and written by Tapp and it was he who chose Stoneman to play the forever frumpy Ida Lee.
