[edit] Points Of Interest
Two large factories are located in Ida Grove: Gomaco and Midwest Industries. Gomaco makes paving equipment and also has a separate site in town where they manufacture trolleys.
Midwest Industries makes boat trailers. The company's logo is the image of a castle, and faux castles are everywhere about town, including one at the gateway to a lagoon floating a half-scale replica of the H.M.S. Bounty. An upscale subdivision at the east end of town contains a genuine castle and moat. Even the Pizza Hut is in the style of a castle and overlooks a swan pond.
The town is serious about business, with about 900 manufacturing jobs, but it has more the look of a college town or a resort.
