Talk:ICMP Echo Request

presumably the left most bit shown, labelled "00" is most significant and "31" is least significant? While I understand this notation is common in communications as a programmer I despise it. Anyways, it would be good to specify the bit labelling notation explicitly, what ever notation is used. Funkyj 23:20, 22 November 2005 (UTC)

It is common in comms because it is time, at time 00 you get bit 00. Anyway, it follows network byte order mandated by the underlying IP. — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib Reverts 14:43, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
