Icebreakers (candy)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Icebreakers is a disk-shaped mint candy made by The Hershey Company. They come in several flavors, including peppermint, wintergreen, cinnamon, 'fruit sours' (which is made up of a mixture of 4 sour flavors - pink lemonade, apple, tangerine, and watermelon), 'berry sours', and 'tropical sours'. The candies are generally white, in color, and speckled with other colors to indicate their flavor. These candies are sugar-free, instead using Sorbitol as a sweetener.

Icebreakers mints are sold in round cases with two openings, one small and one that takes up half of the container. The larger one is labeled, "To Share"; the smaller one, "Not to Share." These cases were previously made of aluminum, but are now plastic.

Also, there is a type of Ice Breaker mint named "Liquid Ice". They are small, spherical gel pellets that, as they melt in your mouth, secrete a minty juice. The Liquid Ice candies are often criticized for having a somewhat bitter flavor.

Recently debuted was the new Icebreakers brand chewing gum: Icebreakers Ice Cubes. Ice Cubes come in two flavors: peppermint and spearmint. It leaves a refreshingly cool mouth feeling when you chew the cube shaped candies.

Another product sold under the Icebreakers name is a package that contains both mints and gum. This product appears to be discontinued.
