Ice Cream for Crow is the twelfth LP by Captain Beefheart, originally released in 1982. It is the last record he released before retirement. It charted briefly in the UK at #90, but failed to make the Billboard Top 200.
It is worth noting that much of the material on this album and its predecessor Doc at the Radar Station were originally composed during the Trout Mask Replica period: Beefheart had, even before he retired from music, largely stopped composing new songs.
