I don't think Executives were ever used as computer consoles. They had a very complicated escapement mechanism that was not as reliable as the standard model. The standard model B was probably the most commonly used. Wake 03:29, 18 Mar 2004 (UTC)
- The IBM CE that assisted us in starting the IBM 1620 restoration called the typewriter an "Executive B". I would think he would know as he actually worked on the machines. (too bad he died only a few weeks after our first meeting and never got a chance to see the machine finally running.) -- RTC 03:31, 3 Apr 2004 (UTC)
