Hi! Can you please delete the page named chavo shrestha... i had created that page as a prank and want to take it off now... sorry for the inconvenience
Hi! I just saw your update to New Rome, Ohio—do you have a link for the story about the judge's order to dissolve it? I'm eager to read more on it...it's especially hard to keep up with the news on it since the Dispatch's stupid website is pay only. I grew up in Columbus, and remember quite clearly when one of the very first things that I was told by my driver's ed instructor many years ago was "watch out for New Rome." It's a fascinating, weird subject. Thanks! Postdlf 22:53, 30 Jul 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Gaymap bluetest.PNG
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Gaymap bluetest.PNG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 07:59, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] DCA and PC
They're wrong. (As in many things, trusting the Government is a rather bad idea.) Much more authoritative sources, like Debrett's Correct Form, show the correct way. (As an online example, this page from the College of Arms website shows "PC" after "CVO", and I'd certainly expect the College of Arms to know what they're talking about.) Proteus (Talk) 16:01, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- Honours precede all other post noms PC is an appointment it is not an honour so it goes with QC etc. The DCA site is wrong sadly and various HMSOs publications agree with Proteus as do Burkes and DebrettsAlci12 15:44, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Prince Charles and the Saskatchewan Order of Merit
Hi there,
I notice that a few days ago you added the Saskatchewan Order of Merit to List of titles and honours of Charles, Prince of Wales. I've checked the offical lists [1] in which Charles is not listed. Due to this I have removed the listing. Do you have a link that states that Charles recieved it ? As far as I knew none of the royal family have ever held the provincial orders which I belive are not headed by the queen by rather by the Lt Governor. Thanks Dowew 14:50, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
- I have learned not to trust wikipedia artles for citable info. They are a great starting point, but you should double check before repeating info somewhere else, otherwise incorrect rumor can just snowball. Its pretty simple, just a quick googlesearch for Saskatchewan Order of Merit will turn up the official page. I've always thought it kinda strange that the Queen has never been given any of the provincial orders, particularly when she was in attendance for the first investiture of the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador. [edit] Possibly unfree Image:WalterOwen.jpg
- I have also since added the following images for the same reason: Image:GeorgePearkes.jpg; Image:Bell-Irving.jpg; Image:RobertRogers.jpg; Image:DavidLam.jpg; Image:GardeGardom.jpg; Image:IonaCampagnola.jpg. None of these images appears to be owned by the federal Canadian government. The only sources given are a provincial government website. None of the provinces have a licencing scheme similar to the federal government. Agent 86 06:57, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
