I give every newcomer two tips for adding content: cite references whenever possible, and try to set aside any personal points of view. Aside from that, just be patient and receptive, ask questions whenever you need to, and have a good time.

Now that you have your own user name, you can sign your discussions on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically stamp your user name, the time, and the date. That will help other users reply to your posts.

I looked into it, and it looks like your article was speedy deleted because it had been deleted previously (October 3, 2005). You can see the original deletion discussion and today's deletion procedure here. If you feel that today's deletion was done in error, you can post a request for review at Wikipedia:Deletion review.
