[edit] Unsourced material will be removed without mercy

Note that I will begin removing all unsourced material per the abovementioned policy if the requests for sources go unheeded a second time. Uncle G 15:53, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

I am the subject of the article and I verify all information is factually correct. I can be contacted on 44 1256 465 246 or on 07789 403311 if anyone wishes to discuss this further. Btw, the Racing Post appears to be the source for much of the material. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Iandavies (talk • contribs) 2006-10-09 05:47:45 (UTC)

  • Then please cite the relevant articles. Your assertions are of no use. We do not trust autobiography. Articles must be verifiable by readers against sources who have already checked facts and that are independent of the subject. This does not include "Please telephone this random telephone number and a mystery voice on the other end will assure you that it's all true.". Uncle G 11:38, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

I have to say that you do not appear to be either reasonable or objective here. Wikipedia contains legion material which is not unverified and lacks citation sources. As already stated, quotes attributed to me are taken from the Racing Post. I am assuring you the other material is factually correct. If that isn't good enough for you and you have the authority to do so, remove it, but if you do please be consistent and remove it from every other entry containing unverified material in this online encyclopedia. Btw, if you choose to contact me directly you can do so via my website then you can be certain you are not talking to a mystery voice. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.141.85.183 (talk • contribs) 2006-10-09 16:45:02 (UTC)

  • This is perfectly reasonable and objective. That other unsourced material exists is no excuse for bad editing. Your attention was drawn to our policies right at the start, both by the notices on the article and at the top of this talk page. By refusing to provide any citations for the purported Racing Post articles, and maintaining that the only way for readers to verify this article is to perform primary research using a non-neutral source, you are making this a prime candidate for deletion. This is your last chance. Please cite the sources that have been requested four times now. Uncle G 14:21, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

I shall endeavour to comply. The source for the quotes attributed to me is David Ashforth in a Racing Post article published in Decemmber 2003. The other elements of the entry you demand citations for were written by someone who spoke to me before penning the entry and as, such, are unverified. Personally, rather than deleting the entry altogether, I think it more appropriate it reduce it to a tiny stub.
