Ian Ivarson

Ian Ivarson (born 1981) is an American entrepreneur who invented the Ivar System backpack technology used in Ivar backpack products.

Ivarson, as a high school student in Marin County, CA developed the Ivar System in 1998, and later patented the System in the United States. Foreign patents are pending. The Ivar System encompasses a sewn in, soft internal shelf design, promoting unique organization and weight distribution.

In April 2002, Ivarson formed the San Anselmo, CA based Ivarson USA LLC as the manufacturer and distributor of Ivar (brand) products based on the Ivar System technology.

Ian Ivarson graduated as a business finance and marketing major in 2004 from the University of Denver.
