- So what? A lot of straight people like "YMCA" too. MisterBadIdea 23:37, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- Also, Aretha Franklin never sang this song. MisterBadIdea 08:48, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
- I was told that Donna Summers sung this song, but I don't believe that is correct. Can anybody verify this? PeteShanosky 23:21, 31 May 2006 (UTC)nor!
It was Gloria Gaynor! ;) Speechless28 {–www.blackplanet.com}
[edit] I will Survive
Try Limewire to see who all sang this song: Yes Aretha & Donna DID-- as did Tina & Patti. then there were complete remakes like Cake. My question is this: I hear a piece of the Rocky Soundtrack in the background and bridge of the song. Specifically, from The Final Bell. Does anyone else here this and does anyone know if it is purposeful or just a close sound? (hawk4551)

- Check Limewire? You gotta be kidding. Limewire has a billion morons who don't know anything about anything labelling their songs; hardly a reputable source.
Limewire as a source-- You may be right not to trust the label but if you actually download the songs, you will hear that it is NOT the orginal score-- or NOT Gloria Gaynor's voice. (hawk 4551)
Any comment or insight to what sounds like the use of the Final Bell in the song (from the movie Rocky)? (Hawk4551)
[edit] Parodies
A parody of the song was made by Luke Smith for Counter-Strike. Should that be added that to the parodies section?
